Eliezer Yudkowsky
Eliezer Yudkowsky is, with Nick Bostrom, one of the cofounders of value alignment theory. He is the founder of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute. He is the inventor of timeless decision theory and extrapolated volition, the co-inventor with Marcello Herreshoff of the tiling agents problem that kicked off the study of Vingean reflection, and so on and so on. His specializations include logical decision theory, naturalistic reflection, and pinpointing the failure modes in design proposals for advanced AIs.
